Copperplate is a script alphabet people often see on many formal invitations and announcements. It uses flourishes and was used widely in the 18th century. It requires some practice but in this era of new appreciation for the hand lettered item, it is extremely popular. Lovely to look at and a sure-fire success when you want people to linger over your writing.
